Designed to be a lovable replacement for the real thing, the Zhu Zhu Hamsters are artificially intelligent, interactive pets that kids can play with and nurture. They can move around at a fast pace, make all sorts of noises, and react to their environment thanks to a few special features and little motorised wheels.
Put Nugget’s wheels in motion and activate her explore function by pressing the button on her back. She’ll whizz off across the carpet, or zip around in her hamster habitat. All the new hamsters are compatible with their already existing friends and playsets and offer even more opportunities for role-playing scenarios.
The ‘bump’ button on the end of Nugget’s nose is an ingenious little device that enables her to change direction if she charges headfirst into an obstacle. She’ll back up with an ‘oops!’ and head off at a different angle. If you want to slow her down and hear her coo and chirp, press the head button and she’ll chill out for a little while before going into sleep mode.
